DD Law.HR.Compliance is founded in Germany and specializes in advice on legal, HR and compliance matters. As part of a global network, we focus on the support of international companies and individuals within the APAC region and Asian companies during their business globalization.
Over the years the challenges presented by the legal developments and personnel environment have become of increasing relevance for companies and managers active within Asia. Dr. Iris Duchetsmann is a German lawyer specializing in international law, particularly aspects that involve cross-border projects, compliance issues and international HR management. She also provides advice on matters such as residency, tax and social security. Iris has extensive work experience in China, Asia and Germany.
Before joining private practice she worked in the procurement department and as an in-house lawyer in the HR department of a multinational, gaining insights into corporate processes.
Her clients include international corporations, other enterprises and executives from various industry sectors, including automotive, energy, transportation, chemical, media, textile, consulting, etc.
Iris is a native German speaker, fluent in English and has a good command of Mandarin Chinese. She is a frequent speaker and author on international and national labour law and HR topics.
Iris has served as Vice Chair of the EUCCC HR WG, sits as Vice Chair of the Legal WG and member of the board of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China, Shanghai.
