Since February 2016, employers are allowed to file their Work Rules electronically by a newly introduced e-filing, instead of mail or in person.

Background:

Employers with ten or more employees are required to file their Work Rules with the Department of Labor Protection and Welfare. The Work Rules must be in Thai language and filing must be conducted within seven days after announcement. Any subsequent revisions must be filed too. Until now, submission for filing has generally been done by mail or in person.

This new e-filing system may be an easier operational process, especially to observe timelines due to a clear computer tracking. However, the Director-General may still require an employer to submit a hard copy of the Work Rules after registration and submission via e-filing.
